Olle Sweeper

While volunteering with the Jeju Recycling Center, I noticed littering on the Olle Trail and designed a prototype sweeper to address it. Using coding and 3D printing, I built a device that combines sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning functions. The successfully tested prototype collects small trash and dispenses cleaning fluid to remove odors, with plans for further refinement and entry into an inventor competition.

Centrifugal Force & Osmotic Pressure Desalinator

I learned about water scarcity through the DMZ Ecology Club and Social Studies class, which inspired me to develop a solution for the World Invention Creativity Olympics (WICO). I created a makeshift centrifuge using supercoiling principles to separate salt from water, achieving initial experimental success. However, I encountered challenges with the prototype's stability and effectiveness, leading to further refinements with the help of science teachers. I used Arduino to construct a moving desalinator prototype for presentation at the 2023 WICO, where I incorporated a salt filter for continued improvement. I was awarded a Silver Medal at the competition.
